The First Half

The first half started when I was a child. I had a huge soap collection arranged beautifully on my bedroom shelves. I was so proud of my soap!

The first half includes my first craft show selling kitchen potions while living in Montreal.

The first half includes making cold process soap for the first time ever at age 22 in my wee bachelor suite in west broadway.

The fist half was creating Shiver Soaps.

In my 30s I did any craft show I could afford. Then I created my own show and it was hosted at Luxalune. Hosting shows became a passion and constant challenge in how much i can take on. I had so much to learn but i loved every market I hosted, success varied. I put myself in front of news camera and sent out media invites. I let Winnipeg know about the Half Moon Market and I wanted to do my artisans proud.

My venues included community centers, West End Cultural Centre, local pubs and Inn at the Forks.

I took on a lot. Six months before my last show, the venue already booked and paid, I decided it would be my last market. I had signed up for Yoga Teacher Training! Time to switch gears.

I got rid of Shiver Soaps – but will always love you Shiver!

I let go of the Half Moon Market, the Cat and Craft Show, the vegan markets. It was time to mold the next creative chapter!
